Arm launches new chips for faster smartphone performance during Computex

Arm has launched two new products at Computex in Taipei which are designed to increase smartphone performance - the Arm Cortex-X4 and the Arm Immortalis-G720

The Cortex-X4 is the fastest CPU made by Arm so far and offers 15% more performance than the Cortex-X3, with a focus on enabling AI and ML-based apps

The Immortalis-G720 is based on the fifth-generation GPU architecture and has been designed for high geometry games and real-time 3D apps

Arm has also announced a new platform called Arm Total Compute Solutions 2023 (TCS23) which includes IPs such as Immortalis GPU, Armv9 CPUs and software enhancements

TCS23 is meant for premium smartphones and is based on Armv92 architecture with GPUs such as Immortalis-G720, Mali-G720 and Mali-G620, and CPUs such as Cortex-X4, Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520, and the DSU-120.
